The International Competition presents a selection of the most exciting author-driven documentaries from around the world. Different poetics, formats and approaches meet here – from intimate personal stories to large-scale social themes. These films do not offer easy answers, but carefully construct questions that stay with us long after the screening. The selected titles test the boundaries of documentary language and boldly explore new narrative forms.
