Tomislav Mršić graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, and during his studies he started working in film. He worked as an assistant director on feature films and series and is the author of several documentaries and series. He is also the director of several short feature films, and the director and screenwriter of the feature film Cowboys, which was a Croatian candidate for the Oscar award in 2014. He won the film critics’ award Oktavijan for the best documentary film (Rio bravar, 2002 and Slučajni sin, 2008). He was the artistic advisor of Croatian Audiovisual Centre for a documentary film (2013 and 2014) and television projects (2016 and 2017). Today he works as an Editor- in- Chief of the Documentary program of HRT.

Vladimir Brnardić is a screenwriter, editor and director from Zagreb. After graduating with a history degree from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, he has been working for the Documentary Department of Croatian National television (HRT) as an journalist and editor. He is an author of contributions for TV Kalendar and associate on the documentary serial Prošlost u sadašnjosti. He wrote and directed 15 documentaries. Since 2016- 2023 he has been the Editor- in- Chief of the Documentary Department at Croatian Television.

Mršić and Brnardić will talk about the mechanisms and procedures of a collaboration between documentary authors and a national television, sharing their experience and advice on how to present a documentary series project to television commissioners and decision-makers. As two Editors-in-Chief they will share some tips and tricks on how to introduce a good idea within the world of television rules and requirements.
