Training workshop and pitching forum for documentary film projects Zagreb, February 26th – 28th 2008
In the framework of fourth ZagrebDox, international documentary film festival held in Zagreb from February 25th to March 2nd, a training workshop for documentary film projects will be organised, aimed at finding partners for their production. Two days of intensive training led by international tutors will be followed by pitching forum, where documentary film directors and/or producers will have the opportunity to launch the project to a panel of international commissioning editors. Directors and/or producers with a developed documentary film proposals are eligible to apply.

Pitching forum panel:
Three western Europe televisions' documentary program editors
Four regional televisions' documentary program editors
Authors from following countries are eligible to apply: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
Only 12 active participants (participants with project proposals) will be selected, due to intensive and individual work the program is based on. The workshop will involve a certain number of observers (participants without the project proposal or applicants that did not qualify for active participation). Working language is English. During pitching forum, participants will have 7 minutes to present their work (including video clip) and editors will have 8 minutes to ask additional questions, according to the international standards. The organiser will cover food, accomodation and travel costs for selected active participants, as well as tickets for all film screenings during the festival.
Applications should include:
a) brief synopsis (max. 1/2 page)
b) brief budget and production plan (max. 1 page)
c) authors' CV ( max. 1/2 page)
All documents should be in English and written in letter size 12.
It is advisable to submit video material with the application: photos or other research material, short video clip (not longer than 2 minutes). Deadline for applications to arrive is 15th January 2008, and they should be sent by e-mail and/or by post.
Selected participants will be notified not later than 1st February 2008. Applicants whose projects were not selected could apply to participate as observers.
